Body Mechanix are an American EBM/techno band from New England, formed in 2023 by husband and wife duo Isaac and Maxine Darling. The couple met in 2009 and bonded over a deep passion for music. Both discovering EBM, industrial and underground electronic music in the early 2000s, gritty and raw rhythms were formative to their music tastes from middle school onwards, giving them the benefit of experiencing both the minimal early days of EBM and the techno-infused sound of EBM bands active in the early to mid 00’s. Their sound is heavily influenced by bands like Nitzer Ebb, Frontline Assembly, Velvet Acid Christ, Leaether Strip and Skinny Puppy, and infused with dystopian rhythmic techno atmospheres. Body Mechanix use their driving and confrontational sounds to create an intense dance music that reflects on the grim state of society and highlights political themes like the police state, systemic marginalization and violence, patriarchy and capitalism. 

Body Mechanix released their single “Body Semantix/Body Contact” in Spring of 2024, followed by several live appearances including DJ sets and their first live show in July of 2025. Their first full length album is forthcoming with a planned release date in 2025.
